George Flickinger to Speak at Museum

 


          The VCE Southside Master Gardener Association will present George Flickinger, Chief Meteorologist at WSET, Channel 13 on Friday, October 10th at 11 a.m. at the South Boston Halifax County Museum.  George will be discussing Everything you need to know about Virginia weather such as how the weather is changing and the impact on our gardens.  This program is free and open to the public.  Reservations are requested by calling 434-476-2147, option 0 or emailing ask@ssmga.org.

          On October 24, Jessica Driver, VDACS Plant Inspector, will discuss new invasive pests in our gardens.  She will include the Box Tree Moth, a recent pest of boxwoods.  This program is free and open to the public.  Reservations are requested by calling 434-476-2147, option 0 or emailing ask@ssmga.org.
